Efficacy and safety of acupuncture for the treatment of non-specific
acute low back pain: a randomised controlled multicentre trial
protocol.
Objective is to evaluate the efficacy of a standardized acupuncture regimen (SAR) and amitriptyline hydrochloride for the relief of pain due to HIV-related peripheral neuropathy in HIV-infected patients.
The use of acupuncture for perioperative analgesia, nausea and vomiting, sedation, anesthesia, and complications is reviewed.
Objective is to evaluate the
- efficacy of Chinese acupuncture in treating postoperative oral surgery pain;
- validity of a placebo-controlled procedure;
- effects of psychological factors on outcomes.
