The British Conference of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
11th – 13th September 2009
The BAcC 2009 conference is set to be Europe’s second largest TCM gathering and we are aiming to attract many practitioners from the global acupuncture community. This unique weekend will be held once again in the grand setting of Royal Holloway, University of London, Egham. The typically English, secluded green parkland offers tranquil outdoor space for energising Qi Gong workshops and for quiet reflection. In addition, you will find stunning architecture, state of the art lecture rooms, and 2000 sq m of purpose-built marquee for exhibitors (and for partying on Saturday evening!)
To kick-start this weekend of learning and celebration, the conference will begin on the afternoon of the 11th September with a Friday evening welcome party and live entertainment. We will also host a grand party for all delegates on Saturday 12th September.
With a top range of speakers (see some of the names below) from the global acupuncture community and diverse and topical workshops, ranging from hands-on practical sessions like How to treat tendonitis through to lectures on Ancient cosmology which invite you to reflect on our classical inheritance this will be an un-missable event.
Royal Holloway is an architectural wonder, a beautiful rural site and yet only 45 minutes by train from (Paddington) Central London and 20 minutes by car/taxi from Europe’s largest transport hub, Heathrow Airport. Dedicated transport from Heathrow to the venue (booked in advance - all inclusive cost) means that you will be able to travel with ease and confidence, whether you are travelling alone or in a group. Once you arrive you’ll receive a warm welcome and our great value ‘all inclusive’ rates means that all your accommodation and food are taken care of from start to finish.
We look forward to welcoming you to this weekend of celebration – unity and diversity!
