"Thank you, Albert de Vos!
Where would ETCMA be without your vision to strengthen TCM and your engagement to realise this?
Seven days a week, complete presence and constant work for the task to unify TCM in Europe, to set up a pool of active members in the ETCMA to develop the political dimension for our profession for a strong practice and a safe future.
As a founding member, Albert, you went through all the up’s and down’s of ETCMA’s growth – first as treasurer (2001-2005), then in the leading position as CEO (2005- 2014) and as President (2014-17).
With your networking skills ETCMA expanded its membership (it begun with 6 members) from 12 member associations to it’s 25 member associations in just 4- 5 years. You encouraged potential members to come and meet (often at the Rothenburg conference) and if they needed help with educational issues to attend the ESLD.
Until 2014 there were only 5 EC members and no honorary secretary. You were first point of contact for the ETCMA for a long time. As CEO you managed the day to day workings of the ETCMA including answering emails, dealing with enquiries, helping with the financial transactions in liaison with the treasurer and arranging many of the meetings.
You explored and developed ETCMA’s European Health Political arm and went to many EFCAM meetings in Brussels (ETCMA were members of this lobbying body until EUROCAM formed and ETCMA became members of this.)
You actively promoted ETCMA by attending many TCM conferences throughout Europe to raise the profile of ETCMA and did a great job of this! You were a true ambassador for TCM and the ETCMA!
Thank you for your precious dedication and we are pleased that you accepted honorary membership of ETCMA."
